Where Do Tweets Come From?

This isn’t a biology lesson but a geographic analysis of the countries that are sending the most Tweets. As the chart shows, the United States and Brazil are heavy sources of Tweets, but there are also a lot of Twitter users in Indonesia, United Kingdom and Malaysia, according to the Geography of Twitter report  from the Oxford Internet Institute.

Another report called A World of Tweets shows the United States with 27% of Tweets followed by Brazil (23%), Indonesia (11%), United Kingdom (7%) and the Netherlands (3%).
